Hi BB Owners,

I have a 7250 and a 2006 525. I can use the phone through the audio system fine, it also shows the phone number in Active Calls, but the PIM does not download to the Phone Book, as I have read on this forum others have the same issue.

I went to the BB site to see what if any info I could learn, but nothing. I am going to send an email to their tech support but I am not too optimistic about a useful response.

I would ask anyone that has information updates or suggestions as to who and where to petition for this capability,,,, I'm having a great time with the car but the full features of the integrated phone would be nice.

Regards,

Mark

There is a thead in the Discussion area talking about CIP 19, which is said to "add more phones" which I'm interpreting as meaning the car will have a Phonebook Access Profile that is more in line with the still-emerging BT spec. The trick will be to see how closely the Blackberry's PBA profile conforms since the BT SIG work in this space has yet to yield a v1.0 iteration.

Both RIM and BMW need to engineer an interface - maybe in a year or two. Don't bother watching real time - set a reminder for 12 months.
