It really sounds like you like the iPhone and it seems to do what you want it to do so what about the BB are you missing? In other words, why are you considering "re-joining the BlackBerry bandwagon?"
So far, my Bold works perfectly with the car (just like my other one did.)

I like the iphone but to be honest it doesn't get the greatest reception and the volume isn't that loud. I can barely hear the other caller if there's a lot of background noise on my end. I popped SIM card into my old Blackberry Pearl and both problems were solved. The Blackberry gets 1-2 more bars of signal strength virtually everywhere I go compared to the iphone.

Just so you know, I do have an iPod Touch which I use from time to time for portable surfing (when WiFi is present) as well as displaying some photos (no way my entire photo collection can fit on a portable device at this point), listening to some music, playing some games, or screwing around with apps like Dynolicious. That said, the BB Bold is on my belt all day and the Touch stays home -- to me, the Touch is more of a "toy" than a business tool.
All I can say is that so far, the Bold works well with the car, pairs with no problem, transfers contacts just like my older one, and is a nice improvement over the BB devices using the EDGE network. I've only seen a few strange (buggy) glitches and for now, none of them are a big issue. I can only imagine that regular updates to the OS will make it an even stronger choice...

I just picked up the BB Bold for $199 (awesome deal) and also picked up a 8GB SD micro card for it. This phone in amazing. Great call quality, unbelievable speaker loudness, great screen resolution, leatherette back, syncs perfectly with the e60, flawless email capability, etc.... I'm glad my iphone is gone. The iphone had too many "glitchy" errors with the software and absolutely horrendous call quality in comparison to the BlackBerry. I'm an Apple guy through and through (several iMacs/MacBooks in the family, 2 shuffles, 2 nanos, and an iphone in my possession). I really wanted the iphone to win this battle, but the BB wins hands down in my book.
