I'm back in HK after an absence of 10 years and doing a bit of shopping. I'm looking to upgrade my phone from the Sony Erricsson T630 to something better with a larger character display. I was wondering which is the favoured phone which is compatible fully/partly with your E60s? grateful for any suggestions.

Welcome back to HK.
Our HK spec E60s didn't have the Bluetooth option, so we can't give any advice on which phone is more compatible with the 5er.
For phone with larger character display, go for the Samsungs.

My motorola RAZR KRZR, and A1200 (Ming) seems working fine. Little bit hassle to pair 8801 with my E60, but it work after all.
I submit here my experience on pairing BT mobile phone on series 5 E60/61 BMW (CIP 20 , build dec 2004) updated to 02feb2007:
Perfectly working both on pairing both on phone book transfer as for my personal try:
phone book may stay on SIM card or on phone memory, no SMS of course..
Motorola V3, V3i, V3xx
Motorola Z3
Samsung SGH-Z510
Samsung SGH-Z710 (very fast in phone book transferring)
SE k800i
I suppose same for SE k750i (not tried)
Not compatible in phone book transferring, but well paired of course:
Nokia N80
Nokia N73
Nokia E61
If those information will be useful to someone................
