For those of us who have the temerity to buy phones other than the models for which BMW has chosen to provide cradles - has anyone figured out whether it is possible to get access to the antenna in the E61 Touring? Wondered if it might be possible to splice in a connection for a separate antenna lead from the phone to make use of the fin antenna.

I can't see any way of getting at the wiring under the connector in the armrest, so wondered if the antenna cable might be more accessible somewhere in the back of the Touring.
