6230i and Bluetooth
#1
Hi,
From reading the forum it appears people have successfully been able to use the Nokia 6230i with BMW.
I cannot get my 6230i (v3.30) to pair, the phone after searching simply shows 'no devices found'. Car is 535d touring.
I've checked the bluetooth on the phone and it can find other bluetooth phones.
My wife's 6230 is already paired and works for calls, etc. Incidently I tried to remove my wifes phone from the connections list but the remove option is greyed out? do you need the phone to be connected to remove it from the connections list?
Any idea on why my 6230i isn't finding the car to pair?
Thanks
Nick

Sorry, please disregard most of my last message.
I've just tried again and can now connect. I think I must have previously been trying to connect through Paired Devices as opposed to 'Search for Audio Enhancements'. (it was 6.00am so probably half asleep still)
All now connected and working, my limited address book transferred successfully.
(as a side, I've got all my contacts on a Nokia 6600, anyone know of a pain free way of transferring from a 6600 (sybian) to a 6230i

I'm using a nokia 6230 also with a 535d touring and it's working well (except the SMS function).
A new snap in adaptor is nearly available by BMW for the 6230i (and also for the 6230 i think) : ref : 84 21 6 973 983
I have already order one (so i will use the original antenna + charging my phone).

Hi Quickin
Excellent news about the snap in connector.
Can you tell me where you ordered from and the expected delivery time? can you install one yourself or does it require a visit to BM?
One would expect better quality through the external arial, etc. does anyone have any first hand experience of using the snap in adapters and their impact on signal and call quality.
Thanks
