I've been looking but I can't seem to find a snap in adapter for the E60 that supports a 3G GSM phone. I'm sure there is at least one out there.
I've been out of contract with TMobile for about 6 months now and I'm tired of waiting on Cingular to see if the V3xx will fit the V3 cradle so I'm back to shopping for a new phone.

You cannot forget about waiting to see if X3xx can fix onto V3 cradle. I have both V3 and V3xx and V3 cradle cannot accommodate the V3xx. The power connector for both are inverted, no doubt both are at left side. The X3xx is slightly longer also.

I made one for my SE V800. Too many new phones for BMW to keep up !
The phone manufacturers make them for BMW
The problem is most new phones have no external antenna connections, so the manufacturers see no need to make adapters.
Only a few like the Nokia 6230i have a way to connect to the external antenna without a port

There are phones that do have an external antenna connection but that connection isn't utilized by the snap in adapters (V3/V3i/V3c for example). Instead the phone adapter uses methods other than a direct physical connection to utilize the external antenna (incident field). The snap in adapter is also used to charge the phone.
So my search continues.
