Nah, its good to let BMW NA know that some dealers are charing things when its suppose to be standard... its like saying heres your car... but we need to charge you an extra $500 to put engine oil in the engine so you can run it.

BECAUSE OF YOUR REQUEST, WE WILL WAVE ANY CHARGE FOR BLUE TOOTH INITIATION.
He does not answer any my points.? ? I already sent my official complaint letter thru priority email at OC site. Let's see how BMWNA replies.

Ooh, does it mean "WE WILL WAIVE ANY CHARGE FOR BLUE TOOTH INITIATION"? If so, it changes opposite way.... I need to check!

The poll is not valid for this situation. I paid $110 but my car is MY04 June Build.

Any MY05 E60 customer should be getting this feature at delivery.

Yes, that's right. So many Bluetooth posts now.

I would really complain if I was charged for BT on MY2005.

Did you guys pay $300 when you picked up your new baby with Bluetooth activation?? ? I am about to pick up my 545-SMG next week and talking details with my SA. He asks to pay $300 BT activation fee. It is a bit strange for me because BT ready is a original spec for all MY05 E60s. Why they ask us to pay additional money for what is already in the spec? It should be part of predelivery inspection (PDI), I feel, right?? ? Did you pay for it?

Where did you purchase in the Bay Area? I had my bluetooth activated free at Sonnen in San Rafael.

I say... PAY it... Then SUE the SHIT out of them for misleading you!!!!

I would tell them straight up you are INSULTED they would play you for such a fool.

ALL E60 models with a production date of 9/04 forward come with STANDARD Bluetooth. Nothing needs to be activated, nothing needs to be modified. You simply need a BMW compatible phone. (See my other posts for details).

I would even take it a step further and tell them you are "so outraged" at their attempt to "steal" from you that you are taking your business elsewhere.

I could NEVER trust a dealer who told me such a farce - no matter how bad I wanted the car.

My sincere apologies to you that you had to deal with such a dishonest business - they not all bad. ;-)

Of course he'll waive it... he knows hes wasnt suppose to charge you and thought he might have been able to make a few extra $$ off you. There was a chance you would have just paied it and if not then no matter... he tried.
