I have a Dension and the factory bluetooth. I figured out that there is a switch i had to flip to get the cd changer and bluetooth to work. Now i can sync my phone and my address books comes up fine but when i make a call the call connects but i can't hear anything just a beep or two when it connecting. But i can switch my phone back to the iphone and off of bluetooth and the call works on the phone. Anyone have this problem before. I think it's something with the dension but i am not sure.

 

You should seek advice of vehicle maintenance center.

 

I think they would laugh at me with all the stuff on this car i am pretty sure it's a dension issue but i would like to keep the dension kit and have my bluetooth work!

the switch on the Dension makes no difference to the factory bluetooth. I can take a bluetooth call whether I'm listening to the iphone through the dension or the cd changer. if you flip the switch on the dension while the car is on it can take up to 90 seconds for the bluetooth to start working again.

something isn't right with your dension hook up. you don't need the dension bluetooth adapter if you have the factory one, perhaps that is confusing things?

 

i think it has the factory bluetooth and the dension is for the ipod/mp3 integration??? I have no clue the only thing for sure is if the switch is up my CD player doesn't work and if it's down then it works. I need to get the dension manual so i can see how it works. All i want it for is the ipod feature.

Also i noticed you have a sub installed, did you go through your dension for that? I have a 10inch W7 i want to install.

definitely read the dension manual. the idrive will still appear to be using the CD changer interface. it's just that instead of the actual CD changer the sound is coming from your ipod/iphone.
