Hello all,

The first thread turned out great questions which we thought were already answered, ultimately we were wrong and got the right information.
We have one 545i 550i E60 single system in stock, here are the details:
  • Stainless steel - covered in black high temperature ceramic paint
  • Staggered tip design
  • 10hp dyno proven gains on the 545i, please see image attached
  • NOT A BOLT-ON, this exhaust needs to be welded on or clamped, you will also need to cut off your old exhaust, please see attached PDF instructions
  • Will fit M-Tech bumper, a member of this forum successfully installed the exhaust on a M-Tech E60 without problems.
  • 3 years unlimited mileage warranty
  • sound clips available on demand, please contact us at info@remusexhaustshop.com
  • EC Approved
  • Price : 750 shipped

I did not see any instructions on how to use the connecting pipes in the pdf files. Why are there two connecting pipes? I assumed that the 545 does not need a connecting pipe and the 550 does, but why are there two? Are they saying that even the 545 needs a connecting pipe and one of the pipes in the pic is for the 545 and the other for the 550,...... or are both somehow supposed to be used with the 550? Are they including different clamps for the 545 and 550 (with the 550 one being a bit bigger)?.......or is it just one clamp that will work for both? I know NY550i said that the original clamp that came with older 545 Remus systems is not big enough to fit over the 550 pipe, but if the new clamp that is shipped with the new system is slightly bigger then it may potentially work for both the 545 and 550.

"we enclosed 2 adapters (see enclosed picture) - please use them acc to mounting instruction"

They did not give us additional information, a conversative conclusion would be that the 2 adapters are there to work with the 550i only and the 545i is a direct fit(welding needed).

They say "please use them acc to mounting instruction" when referring to the adapters, but there is nothing concerning the adapters in the mounting instructions.

Matt, how many clamps are included with the one that you have in stock? If more than one, are they different size clamps? I assume either two or three should have been included.....even if only one connecting pipe is used you would still need two clamps.
