John,
Are you able to elaborate on the modifications that need to be made to a trunk finisher to fit an LCI e60. I went to the dealer yesterday and parked my '08 next to an '06 to see the difference in trunks. I can tell my area around the license plate is deeper rececessed. The dealer is ordering a trunk finisher for me which I am going to hold up to my car to see what needs to be done. From what I can tell, something will probably need to be attached to the back to pad/support since there is probably going to be a gap between the back surface or the trunk finisher and the surface of the trunk. Hope that makes sense what I am saying. Anyway, any explanation on what you guys had to do to fit MacFly's car would be appreciated.
Thx

Went to the dealer and looked at the trunk finisher they had ordered me and held it up to my car. Appears that the the only are that needs to be modified are on the inside surface and upper outer areas. Without a pic to show it is hard to explain, but doesn't look like it involves too much work or would be difficult for a decent (let alone good) body shop to do. The price I am quoted for the finisher alone is $211. Painting depending on the shop..prob $100-200. Each shop would have their own fee for modifying the piece.
If Eurorev would produce the piece for those of us out of state, I am guessing people would jump on it. It looks like I am looking at prob $500 to do this to my car vs Eurorev charging in the $300's for finished and painted.

The Date is set.....
On Thurs, drop my car off to have the finisher modified. Then they get painted and will be installed. This should all be finished by beginning of next week. I'll post some pics once its done.
