just to be clear on this, these are for Pre-LCI models correct? If so I'm interested in a trunk finisher for an 04 525 Titanium Silver Metallic.

No, these are for the LCI's and you need to be local for this offer. That said, if you have a pre-LCI, contact Garry Romani of BMW of Newport (Rhode Island). Cost is $150 with shipping. He gives the members of this site a 25% discount on all OEM parts, including wheels.

The M trunk diffuser is still available for pre-LCI e60s.

Alright so I finally received my trunk finisher. I have searched to no avail for a decent how-to on installation.

I'm assuming some sort of double sided tape is in order here, but is the adhesive hazardous to the paint at all? What are the best locations for the tape?

Will the trunk finisher slam against the rear of the vehicle and scratch paint when closing the trunk with any force?

Any help is appreciated.

If installed correctly it should certainly NOT scratch anything when closing the trunk....nothing should come in contact with the paint except for the tape. Buy industrial strength 3M double-sided tape.

John,

Any more word on the LCI version????

Also, what about if you have to remove (ie, turn lease car back in)? Will the double sided tape damage original paint underneath?

We do have the modified LCI version M trunk finisher (see pic below on MacFly's 535i) but it is only for locals (So. California) members only. It requires alot of modification to make it fit perfectly which other shops can not replicate. Sorry.

So you can't make them universal to fit LCI models like the way you sell one for Pre-LCI? In other words, at some point are they going to be produced to fit any and all LCI cars?

No word from BMW yet making the M trunk finisher for the LCI models.

For EuroRev making the M trunk finisher universal for LCI models, it is possible depending on:

1. How many people are willing to buy (group buy for 15+ people is required)
2. How long it will take us to make it so it can be a plug and play like the pre-LCI model
