I was just checking to see if anyone would be interested in Anodizing services. I work at a Metal Finishing Aerospace company and just wanted to check if people were interested. I can definitely post up pictures for those of you who are interested in this feature. Do understand that Anodizing is a decorative protective layer that penetrates itself into the metal giving it exceptional corrosion protection against different environments.

Anodizing can only be done on Aluminum Alloys.
-Certain grades of Aluminum will vary in color.
-Including Heat-tempering of certain alloys such as the common grade 6061-T6
-Colors: Red, Blue, Black, Dark Gray and Clear

Just seeing if anyone would be interested?

At the moment, I'll be doing fairly small parts. As for pricing it can vary from 20.00 to 100.00 depending on the size and complexity of the part. I'll post pictures up soon of some examples soon.

I think anodizing wheels will be a hot commodity as well for myself I think anodized pedals would be cool too. If you anodize wheels can you just do the lip and not the whole wheel? I'm not very familiar with how the process works.

Anodizing is done by current on bare base aluminums. It's an anodic form of plating, involving with certain amperatures and voltage while immersed in a sulfuric acid bath. There's also different form of sealing that is done after the coating for better adhesion when anodized. I'll have some pictures posted up soon of some plates so you guys can have a better idea of what to expect.

As for wheels, at the moment I'll be working with smaller objects. Anodizing on wheels is definitely a yes, as for not anodizing the lip it is risky but, there are forms of "masking" that can be done to assure no acids will hit the substrate material.

Here's some samples of the Anodizing. These are on 6061-T6 Aluminum plates.
