Do yourself a favor if you dont want to try yourself. Run by a local, good reputation stereo shop, explain what you need replaced, they'll give an estimate and maybe its time to do both front. Not sure if you have the Premium sound, but two new nice aftermarket door subs should prove to potentially give you better sound for a fraction of replacing one from the dealer.

Wish I had some but the place I ordered the speaker from didn't have it in stock so I'm still waiting for it, and i ordered the wiring from bmwoemparts or whatever and they shipped them to Cayman Islands not here to Canada where I live. Still cant get a hold of anyone there to see wtf is going on with the wiring, this is taking forever.

Yes, same thing happen to me few weeks ago. Paid $500 to replace 2 speaker from my back seat! is cost $120 per speaker but it cost them $250+? labor to change both speaker. i was thinking about changing the whole car system into custom systems but it can cost me easily $5000 or more if i ready want a very good systems. so i guess i will paid $500 intsead! Otherwise you might just want to take out the bad speaker and try to match any brand speaker that they have out there and maybe you can be able to do it cheaper! But it might sound different vs left and right??? or maybe just change both side try to balance the sound?

UPDATE:
Got new sub and connectors, installed it under driver side seat and still making popping sounds. So it looks like its the AMP, but its strange how my passenger side sub works fine but driver side is facked up.
Anyone have anything else to try?
