Not sure what's available as I'm making a diffent type of power upgrade shortly, but whateva u choose, be sure how it will potentially affect warranty issues...also some types of ecu flashes can be potentially detected and/or over written if your car is serviced.
You should check out Dinan first and foremost, they guaratee all upgrades and are BMW certified and can be performed at an authorized BMW service center....good luck

Thanks for the info DBae. I've never done a custom tune before. What's involved? Where are the guys located you referred me to?
What kind of HP gains come someone expect from a tune?
Thanks Bro!

Ask for Eloy, mention E60.net and tell him David referred you. since you are not local to RPI, you will have to send in your ecu. I believe if you ship the ecu it usually takes 2 days, but RPI would be able to give you a better idea for the turn around. I believe Trinity also does the powerchip ecu reflashes. Nerwyll @ Trinity should be able to confirm.
If you are worried about warranty issues, I spoke with a SA @ Sterling BMW in newport beach CA and he assured me that an ECU reflash is completely undetectable by the dearlership. He told me that the reflash would not affect my warranty. He actually recommended that I reflash with either dinan or powerchip instead of using what i currently have (JB3). Before you decide to go ahead with the mod, i suggest you speak with your local BMW SA first. Hope this helped.
Good luck

I heard a Completely different horror story from a friend who is a BMW MT about a reflash on a Diesel car, it basically destroyed the Engine, due to the way the reflash set up the ECU (probably one of these cheap Ebay deals), they spotted the ECU reflash nearly straight away. Cost the Guy like 14k to fix.
He did say that only BMW Certified Tuners Products are covered under warranty, so for NA that's DINAN, for Europe ALPINA/Hartge/AC Schnitzer( T/C no-longer approved if I remember correctly).
