They are fully compressed when on the car. They don't change the spring rates much if any. They really are only there for when you have the car slammed realy low they keep the main spring seated in the top perch. Some people remove them if they aren't dropping the suspension really low so they can move the perch up higher and get more clearance for wider tires.
Those spring only hold about 80-100lbs load and you can compress them by hand.

Yup, I think your right on this one also. If that is what the clicking sound is from, why not just take out the helper springs?

I like the painted wheels also. It completely made his car look alot meaner. As for the calipers, all that matters is that he likes it.



but at the same time doesnt look all too bad.
