I live a short distance from the BMWNA headquarters and I must say that those testers love to use the back roads of the Hudson Valley to play on. I will never forget several months ago while driving on route 218 near West Point Military Academy (perhaps one of the twistiest and challenging roads) when I spotted some bloke hauling ass in an M6. Let me tell you, I almost got instant wood. 
I also remember seeing an M5 way way before its north american debut on that stretch of the thruway between the Woodbury Commons Outlets and exit 14 (the exit for BMWNA's headquarters).
