All bmws(1-7series) sold in Indonesia does not come with a catalytic convertor, as we do not have any emission standard and to compensate for our poor quality fuel. Thus, the DME unit has a different version compared to the other bmw sold worldwide. My 6er on the other hand is imported from the UK. Did a dyno test with my friend's local 6er, and he always tops the dyno chart . Losing the cats will definitely lead to better performance

Words out is that we can't bypassed that catalytics. The N62 engine comes with 2 pair of lambda sensors. One before and one after the cats. The sensor before the cat helps to monitor the air/fuel ratio of the exhaust gas from the engine, it helps the ECU to run the engine at its optimal air/fuel mixture. Plucking out this sensor will lead to erratic engine operation/check engine light will appear  . The sensor after the cats is to monitor the exhaust gas, CO, CO2 level after being processed by the cat. Without the cats you exhaust gas will experience much higher CO, CO2 level, which will also trigger the check engine light.

You can still drive the car with CEL on...but you engine will not run optimally, and most likely to make less power than before(goes into safe mode).

Not sure how lmuch ess power will result It its not worth risk I also receive a reply from Hamann stating that bypassing the catalytic will cause the engine to run too lean and you will lose too much back pressure resulting in much lower low end torque. It seemed that bypassing the cat will cause potential problem that is not worth risking.
