Hartge has released a new header for the 6. I guess it will fit the 5's V8 as well. Along with the exhaust it will constitute a complete exhaust setup similar to the one from RD. Expect 10% extra hp with the complete setup.

I hope it will be cheaper than RD's offering....

But on the 5 isn't the piping different? Like on the 6 it ends of with the 2 single side exhausts, but on the 5 only a twin one on the left.

Correct my friend, I'm aware of that...but with regards to the foto I posted the cat's will slot to the 1st resonator in the same way on both cars. It's after the 2nd resonator (I believe) where the 5 & 6 differ in exhaust design.

If I look under my car, I don't see any reason why this header should not fit...but I could be wrong...

It looks very similar to the RD's...probably sourced from the same manufacturer. I have a feeling that Supersprint might be doing OEM for RD and Hartge. The RD header and sport catalytics are going for around $6,500, I suggest you save the money and go for a supercharger upgrade

Will be interesting to see what Supersprint will doing next...
...btw, any supercharger upgrade (not that i am interested anyways) in Europe will cost between 20000euros (G-power) to ~50000euros (RD)...

Complete RD sports exhaust/ECU tuning = +55hp (~12000euros <=> 218euros per extra hp)
RD supercharger/ECU tuning = +187hp (~50000euros <=> 267euros per extra hp)

ie. the exhaust option is better value for money. The exhaust is also lighter than the stock monster plus takes 1 day install...

hey, one could go for both options !

hehe.. Nice feasiblity study for the investment Andy! VF engineering has a supercharger kit for N62 engine and selling at US$10,000, the header upgrade now seemed to be a better value compared to the superchargers

Yup! I wish we are able to change only the header. Unfortunately, the cats is welded on to the headers :thumbsdown: so we have to buy both the header and the cats
