So this way you actually pay for real German quality. + I know Mercedes has more problems than BMW, but I am sure it depends on the driver more.
I guess, but dont get me wrong; MB is at the buttom of my list in German cars. Its not because I am a bmw freak, but MB fell down in their quality. Of course they have beautiful or one of the sexiest models in the world though, you pay so much... that something is gonna break in few years. They make MB in USA right now for North America and South America, BMW although still makes everything in Germany and ships it to North America (except the 3 series).

The MB GL550 has the computer display at the speedometer cracked I guess due to cold weather. Also the AMG side wings when the car was delivered where coming off the ones that make the car look wider fitted on AMG styled cars if you know what I mean
The 5er 11,000Km on the dial has the steering wheel leather wearing out I got 2 tone leather in my car so hence the steering wheel grey-black leather the grey is getting worn.
Quality of both brands is on par. They make money from fixing cars not selling them... Take a Toyota from Japan say the Land Cruiser 200 (dont know how they call em at jap) the Jap will endure a lot more then the European. They build parts to work to a certain amount. They wouldnt wont you to have a free problem car means no work/money for the brand. Dont flame me people but its a fact noticed by Russian customers..
In Russia, Moscow the official dealers make money fixing cars the money from selling cars goes to the workers salaries.
