645: 325 hp / 330 torque

650: 360 hp / 360 torque

Difference is seen up top. Down low the two engines are about equal. I've ran my 545i against 550i. 550i begins to pull in triple digits.

Really, you want to switch from your 550 to a 645? Won't you take a bath on the 550?

The 6er sure does sound better than the 550, but you can fix that easily on the 550. And I think the 6er has a softer sport suspension than the sedan does ... not sure how much of a difference that makes in drivability.

I had not looked before, but man-o-man are there a lot of 645s for sale. Cars.com shows 310 2005 645s for sale right now, and there were only about 10,000 sold here in the U.S. that year. In contrast, there are just 101 2005 545s for sale - and there are about 50,000 of those units out there.

And the 645/650 resale prices are still high! You can buy a nice M5 for less than some of those 645s are priced.

You should even find 650 at reasonably close to what u get a 645 for unless you are trying to dive to the lowest price you can get. But still, 645 best I've ever had. At 39k miles still having fun - especially on the ToD.
