The Most Complete Collection of Info on the New 2017 5 Series
BMW is busy finishing up the next iteration of the long running 5 Series, and there are supposed to be some big changes in store.
Basically every major website in the world has been chasing details, rumors and spy photos of the new 5 Series Bimmer in hopes of being the first to break the big story. Well, rather than run around trying to find all the details, the cool kids over at TopSpeed have written a lengthy piece that covers rumors and details pulled from a big pile of other sources. They also have a nice collection of spy shots, and even a rendering of what the new car might look like.
There is talk of lightweight material and CFRP use like in the new 7 Series, all-new engines ranging from 3-cylinder hybrid units up to new-generation V8s, and discussion about how the new lightweight and modern engines will cut fuel use while upping performance. TopSpeed even says that we could see more than 460 horsepower out of the V8 models, making this 5 Series the most powerful non-M model ever.
