Adopting the front end style of the 3-Series, BMW has given the new M4 a lower nose, flared arches and the trademark M-GmbH side vents. The rear end seems to be similar in shape to the current coupe.

The new M3 and M4 models were recently confirmed by President of BMW North America, Mr. Ludwig Willisch, to be powered by an in-line six-cylinder turbo engine. It is expected to have two or three turbos and around 450 hp. M-fans will be pleased to hear that, though a V6 turbo engine was considered, BMW decided to stick with the traditional in-line six-cylinder engine BMW layout.
