trunk leak BUT on left side
So every search finds people getting water in the battery compartment (right side) due to sunroof drain line clogged which drains on that side....BUT Im getting water starting at the top left hinge and running down the left side and dripping in on the tool compartment area....any ideas? All seals look good. I did notice it seems the hatch has a bit more of a gap on the left versus the right side (running from top to bottom).

Did you ever identify the issue? W/ all the rain we've gotten in Northern California these last few weeks, I've been encountering the same exact problem. The problem is exacerbated in my situation because my driveway in inclined such that when facing the garage, the rear left is the low point. When I park reverse, it hardly leaks at all...

Sure did...pulled the headliner down starting from the rear...there are drain hoses coming off the back corners of the sunroof. I pulled them off and stuck a air compressor hose in them and hit it..BAM a load of junk came from under the back bumper (where the two lines drain on each side). Since then I have had no issues

The other thing I would encourage everyone to do is to remove both rear wheel liners, take an Xacto knife, and enlarge the drain openings. They basically look like a big '+' and believe it or not they are closed off just like a '+' is. enlarge them so dirt and small particles are able to be passed through with the excess water.
