Preventative maintenance advice E61 530D 2004
Hi can I please have your opinion on what should be checked on a E61 530D 2004 105 000 Miles?
Some things I have already done
Tailgate wiring
DPF cleaned ultrasonicly after a Limp mode episode (would not regenerate)
Planning to do
swirl flaps (urgently)
DPF related :
6x Glow Plugs (none working)
Glow Plug Relay Module
Air Flow Mass Meter Sensor
EGR Bypass kit
Check the rear suspension compressor pipes
Annoying things I can't find a solution for
number plate light will not work; no 12v coming in when I changed the wiring loom
changed the seat sensor but the Airbag light and warning message keeps on coming up (not interested in a bypass kit)
What else in your opinion I should I check?

No point in changing the MAF unless it's faulty. Diagnostics (DIS software) can show the corrections being applied to the MAF data which will tell you if its not perfect.
An EGR bypass kit will immediately be detected by the car. The way the EGR can be eliminated is by mapping it out. Alternatively just disconnect and plug the vacuum hose controlling the EGR but you will get an emissions warning when you drive the car (which will go if you reconnect the EGR).

Oh and very important - check the running temperature using the hidden menu.
Tired thermostats are very common and will cause the DPF to block up faster than anything else.
