how did you guys wire up the GPS? Did you have to pull apart your interior roof lining? Or where did you run the wires? I've read a few installs and they mount it to the top of the rear brake light (top). So basically sits just under the rear window in that space for direct/best connection to the satellite. (Apart from going into the shark fin).
But I want to know is how they got the wire there in the first place? Did they wire above or below the interior lining, run along the roof or floor?

some people wire in an after market one and leave it positioned flat, behind the screen.
Otherwise I think it runs from the shark fin through the rear pillar (behind the rear door, near the headrest), then routed behind the back rest of the rear seat, along the base of the rear seat to the rear door sills, and then fed to the front along there...

The GPS antenna suppose to go under neath the sharkfin. In the inside of the car Ofcourse. There's a plastic cover on the headliner that pops off. But I did not routed that far as I just didn't have the time. I had mine on the side of the console were the emergency brake is. That's y I probably didn't get good reception lol. And yes it comes with a long gps cable with a square gps antenna that u can stick on.

maybe im not explaining myself or im not getting what the 'headliner' is. but i get where it goes and etc. but are people popping off the interior trim and lining it up underneath the interior trim above the doors? and the running it to the back? which means they have to pretty much take off the whole roof trim or am i missing something

Honestly I have a little bit but that can change once I get the system back from dynavin. I really never got a chance to play with it. it immediately had issues powering up.. its on its way back to me from germany .

The GPS antenna wire can be routed from the front pax front window trim sidings. Position the GPS antenna inside the sharkfin (no need to remove the whole roof trim) just loosen the area of the third brake light to access it. Then you can use a thin metal wire from the roof trim (sharkfin area) going towards the front pax window trim to pull the wire plug. I just used a foam to keep the GPS antenna in place inside the sharkfin. Been using the Dynavin unit for 10 months now & GPS works well positioned inside the sharkfin.
