800 Horsepower V8 E30 Is Deliciously Evil
V8 swaps into E30s are quite awesome. Adding two turbos makes them even better. Ross Bradely’s E30 “360i” (more on that in a minute) is an amazing example of true customization. He didn’t just go out and buy parts that fit the BMW, he got parts and then made them fit. There is “built, not bought” and then there is “made, not built.”
The origins of this build make sense when you learn more about Ross. He grew up with drag racing, and his trade is in engineering. A V8 swap was inevitable. That swap was a Chevrolet sourced V8, 6.0 liters in displacement, which leads to the name 360i. It has been turbocharged twice over, has a Supra gearbox, Evo8 front brakes, Porsche rear brakes, and other pieces of engineering wonder which all add up to make 800 horsepower of custom awesomeness.
It’s not just the materials used, though. The quality of the work is superb and the car itself is visually stunning. Nothing is hacked together, which makes the car quite beautiful. Not something that you find yourself saying about most E30s.
If only more cars were like this…
