1985 535iS. This is not a picture of my car, but mine was nearly identical. Sold it in 1998 with 360,000 miles on it.

'92 528iT. This car had 370,000 miles when I sold it. It was still fine mechanically, but it was starting to rust.

'99 528iT, 540 wheels. Some Boston kid owned this car before me and installed a 1200 watt stereo and several Dinan upgrades. So with the music cranked, I often found myself driving 90 on the interstate and not really realizing it. I sold this one to get a convertible, but ended up buying another E39 wagon a year later and keeping it for over 14 years.
'99 528iT, 540 wheels. Some Boston kid owned this car before me and installed a 1200 watt stereo and several Dinan upgrades. So with the music cranked, I often found myself driving 90 on the interstate and not really realizing it. I sold this one to get a convertible, but ended up buying another E39 wagon a year later and keeping it for over 14 years.

'99 328i. This car had 240,000 miles on it when I sold it. The convertible hardtop was great for winter but a pain to store.
