You guys all own BMWs. Stop being such cheap asses.
It's not that we're being cheap asses (although my wife pinches pennies until Lincoln screams), but if you're gonna use my car for advertising and experimentation there has to be more benefit to me than a discount. (see previous posts about my SRT8)

wow i understand where umnitza is coming from but.......

but when i wanted my companies products reviews, i gave products out for free to the people who would review them granted the cost wasnt too high, in many cases i would sell it to them for what we paid to make them

no question about this it was poorly handled, we drive expensive bmws, not hondas, if you goof up there is some serious damage in the way of a repair bill that could happen

I don't think that was a mistake nor was it an accident. To be honest I don't know what you're talking about ...

I was joking earlier but here's how I really feel. As stated earlier by BulldogE60, different vendors do business different ways. If Umnitza feels this was a good offer but if you guys don't think so then don't offer up your car. Plain and simple. Instead, you guys are bashing him as if he's MAKING you donate your car and already screwed you in some way. Apparently there are others who feel the offer is fair and have reached out to him.

I know other vendors like Dinan (and I believe RPI as well) had similar offers to their customers to use their cars as test beds for developing mods. Those people only got discounts on the final products also.

Perhaps the root if this drama is due to your views of Umnitza as a vendor and not about this offer at all.

I'm not taking sides but as I try to look at this from an impartial point of view, I don't think some of the remarks were necessary.
