I dont see how $450 is a discount for the tester, when your going to sell it for $450 without the bumper?
Please clarify.

The prices are for exhaust + tester price at this time we have 2 people that want to do it locally.
The exhaust will be marketed at $599 when it's full production.

We understand the desire to acquire parts free, and we certainly recognize the value in the testing process. If something changes, we'll post an update.

Alternatively, if both people fall, we'll re-evaluate the program.
We may offer you a free test/install/dyno but not let you keep the exhaust or pay a reduced price if you want to keep it. We'll keep you all posted.

The free test/install/ dyno and evaluation is called R&D which is an expense of your business. People don't want "free" parts. what they want is to be compensated for their time and the risk of having a completely new and unproven product cause a loss in performance.

+1 not to mention potential losses if the car is damaged, and the added advertising for when the exhaust does go on sale - who's car will they use for the ad? where will they get a recording of the exhaust note? From whoever volunteers their car - and these aint exactly Civics we're talking about.

No one wants to acquire parts for free from you Matt, YOU are the one trying to acquire a guinea pig car for free. You want this test car to PAY for the exhaust, PAY for install, all so YOU can use their car for R&D and USE them for profit. Matt, YOU are the one trying to acquire something for free.

Once again, you show your poor business acumen.

At the risk of arguing unnecessarily, you completely misrepresent what I said.

We will pay for the install, pay for the DYNO, and pay to have it removed if you don't like it. You won't pay for the exhaust unless you like it and then at a reduced price and no other costs (install, dyno, etc would be covered by us).
