Newer BMWs do use LED but I am sure I can make something happen to make it brighter or put HIDs. I have yet to take it apart for experimenting. I will go to BMW next week and check it out. Maybe tomorrow.

On LCI E60s with xenons, the DRL option is in the idrive system. Can set it on and off.

The lights DO dim when u turn on the lights since BMW wants less lights from the angel eyes at night.

Because BMW uses the fogs on X5 and X6 as adaptive lights as well. Just like the center of our inner angel eye rings. When you turn ur wheel ALL the way to the right, the right fog turns on for the X5/X6. It's weird. I'm going to add a cancellor box and see if that works JUST for when the headlight is in setting auto. 9 out of 10 of my X5/X6 customers dont drive in auto and uses ony angel eyes and fogs anyway.

Oh, X5M/X6M will have no such problems. LOL. THey are not fortunate enough to have fogs.

Regarding to the many questions via PM, these HID angel eyes are Version 3 which utilizes TWO relay cables instead of one for smoother operation. Install is same as before except that there's two relays. My new kits will be shipped with drawn diagrams for easier installation.

Here's a few pictures of it just installed freely. U can see everything plugs together. This is my 2 relay V3 version!!!

Simple quick DIY:

1) Replace H8 HID bulb
2) Connect factory plug A to positive red wire and plug B to negative black wire
3) Plug in black box and then to the relay
4) Connect to positive of battery and then ground for negative
5) Plug in ballast and connect the bulb wires to the ballast

DONE!

how does this work with the way the angel eyes fade out with the lock / unlock of the car? can you fade out HID's? I didnt think that worked.
