that is what i was told when i almost got the v3 over the v2. but i would certainly double check with KW directly.

Called KW and the confirmed that the V3 does work with EDC on M5s. There is a separate module that plugs into the OEM one and it'll properly read the data and adjust damper.

If I remember correctly, member tighie had V3's on his M5 and mentioned he lost function of his EDC.

And bump for a good price for V2's. This price is almost as cheap as what I paid 1.5 years ago.

KW's website: "2008 BMW M3 models equipped with the optional Electronic Dampening Control (EDC) may utilize KW's code isolator unit. KW code isolator unit disarms the factory EDC while preventing unwelcome error codes to the factory ECU."

I would think the M5 would be the same way...I could be wrong.

Based on that statement, the code isolator unit seems to just prevent the error code, but it doesn't actually retain the functionality of EDC.

My thoughts exactly. KW said the V3 for M5 DOES WORK w/ EDC.
