Chetan the kit works on your car. If you need install assistance for your car you are welcome to call us. We have installed this kit on literally hundreds of local e60 and e9x. It is likely due to install.

the code is long since inactive, after the first day actually

However, the 9006 35W is what you would need to make it work perfectly on your E61.

Hi, I want to upgrade my LCI lowbeam (H7 halogen w/ projector) and wondering if this kit requires a different bulb holder clip/ modification?

I've read that I need this http://www.ebay.com/itm/140642416260?item=140642416260&viewitem=&vxp=mtr#ht_5153wt_1163 to get the wires through?

Does your kit come with something like that or I need to purchase this separately?

Thanks

You will not need that adapter.
This kit comes with everything you need to make it work on your car.

I just got the kit delivered today. Come to find out, I do need that adapter. Unless I cut the wiring to the bulb to fit into the existing factory adapter.
I'm kinda bummed about that I can't install this tonight since I took your words and didn't buy the modified adapter, sigh..

Please don't give out false info for your future customers.

Email us a picture, you really shouldn't need an adapter. We can help you out.

#17 is what I'm talking about. (http://www.google.com/imgres?hl=en&b...t:429,r:15,s:0)

It's a closed loop clip that you need to clip on to #7 (Bulb) to rotate and lock into the light socket (H7 bulb can't lock into the socket without it).

Other than modifying the original clip (which I don't want to do) or cutting your kit's harness to the bulb, I don't think you can fit it (unless you can perform a magic).

All understood and you just need to bend the opening of that clip #17 a tiny little bit to open it enough to let the AMP connector through, then bend it back into shape, then slot it into the headlight and you're done.

This is a typical unit for lots of Mercedes, BMW, and some VW that we've done over the years.
