give me a wheel set with 8" front and a 9" rear so i can have a bit more curb protection...
Depends on the tire brand you go with, different tire brands have different thickness of sidewall. For example, the Michelin PSS have an average of half inch thicker sidewall compared to Falken FK452.

This last set of pictures you posted -- is that still "Silver" or is that a different color? Also, any pics yet of the 359's on an E60?

The pics I posted above are the AVG M359 in hyper silver finish.
Unfortunately nobody has put M359 on E60 yet, you can be the first.

yea I saw a thread on an E90 forum that made it seem like 50,000 people had these rims yet not a single taker for E60 yet.. and these work on the xi which is another reason I am so interested. It takes me like 6 months to make a decision on this sort of stuff. Not seeing a pic on an E60 doesn't help speed that up.

I'm confident they'll look good. They're OEM styled wheels.

It's like who was the first to get Miro 111 on the E60...be a trend setter, not a follower.

Ok apparently I am slow with this wheels thing. I kept thinking these looked a lot like my neighbor's OEM rims on his 3 series. Finally figured out the M359's are replicas of the OEM Style 359 wheels. (I obviously don't know much about AG naming conventions so forgive me). Just compared the weights and looks like they're about the same. Seems the front wheels are barely heavier than the OEM ones and the OEM ones are bit heavier with their rears.
