Default ••ü•• umnitza.com Orion Lite changes from SMD to COB

As many of our customers know the Orion line of replacement LED rings for their cars is synonymous with longevity, durability, and quality. For a few years, we've had to make a few excuses for the long term reliability of the "LITE" brand because of the inferior SMD chips used and lower assembly quality.

Today, we've changed the SMD to the COB variety. Some companies call this 'x' and some call it 'plasma' but we call it Orion Lite COB. But we no longer need to make excuses.

The benefits of this product are:
  • Significantly brighter than the Orion Lite SMD units it replaces
  • Lower Price
  • Available with the clear, diffuser cover often not offered on the cheaper COB alternatives.
  • Zero Gaps
  • No ugly yellow when off.

There are of course some down sides and ways we had to keep the cost of this product under $100 retail. First, you cannot get the same level of materials as you get with our premium line of Orion V2, V2.5, and V4 products. Second, You only get a 5 year warranty, not lifetime; and the warranty doesn't cover accidents like the indestructible Orion V2 warranty covers. Third, if you want the absolute brightest, you still have to "step up" to the Orion V2, V2.5, and V4. Finally, the Orion Lite COB do not have the same high quality clips used on most E46s and some other models.

Since this is a new product, please allow our supplies to catch up to demand. Already we're shipping these to our customers who had previously ordered the Orion Lite SMD units so we should have installed photos very very soon.

For now, here's what they look like:

Just so everyone knows, is this available in all sizes pertaining to BMWs, or limited sizing currently?

The description is reading that the brightness is below v2, how much difference are we talking about? Half the output?

about 10-20% less overall. Not significant like the previous version which was 30-40% below.

Also, we currently do not have any other sizes except the main E46 size, but are working on other sizes shortly.
