Simple yet effective... There must b a wire under the hood that does this I would imagine. Excuse my ignorance but what is the diode for?

there is no wire that does this unfortunately... i checked everything
The diode prevents the 12V from coming back into the interior of the vehicle (allows only for current to travel one way). If you didn't have one and you turned on your lights (which turns on the AE's) all the interior lights would come on since they are getting a 12V feed. Learned that the hard way lol so yeah the diode is a must.

That gives me an idea how to turn my V2s on as DRL without having the parking lights switched on. Just have to find a +V when ignition is on.
I traced which wire leads to the +V of the AE(Wire Harness connection). splice there and I can keep the lid close by not running the wire into the headlight assembly.

that should work perfectly... since the constant 12V only engages when the ignition is on, you could actually run a seperate wire (let's say the cigarette lighter) to the one connected in the footwell with a diode and then the AE's would basically become your DRL's. but you would have to splice a diode between the cigarette lighter and the one connected to the footwell. or if you don't want the illumination on unlocking just run it straight from the cig lighter to the AE's.
glad i could help out!

Whacha talking about??
I know its not a DIY, but it give the rough idea on how to do everything and how to wire it up.
Using DRL's and Using fade on and fade off angel eyes with a relay.

Here is a quick diagram. Like I always say, ask questions if you have any.
This powers the eyebrow and the angel eye. If you tap these wires, you can power them on. Make sure you put a diode in between it.
Joe, a Diode is so the current doesn't go reverse in flow and cause problems / errors.
