I just took my 545 in a month ago before the certified warranty went out for a full check over and oil change but they didn't reset the service reminder. I now have 200 miles before my next service...does anybody know how to reset that or do I need to go to the dealer?

Thanks!

1. Turn the power on (to II position), don't start the car.

2. Press the "trip" button on the instrument cluster until a triangle with an exclamation mark appears.

3. When the exclamation mark appears, release the button. Now you should see a sign of brake fluids. Keep pushing the button (down and up) until you see the mark indicating oil service. When the oil service mark appears, don't release the button but wait instead until the text says "reset" in the lower little screen on the cluster. Release the button and push again (keep pushed down) until you see the new date on the lower screen. Then release.

4. Turn off the power, then start the car and check the idrive. You're done.

.... IF I REMEMBER THIS RIGHT...

Anyway, you'll figure it out when you open the menu on the instrument cluster .

Oh! If the oil service in the idrive is already red, I'm not sure if this works. If it doesn't, I guess you need a dealer/or similar visit then to reset it...
