Spent this morning hardwiring the V1
Pretty simple actually....now that I know what to do The first time around, its a PITA to get the overhead light fixture off, much harder than on the E60... took me 30min the first time around Now I can get it down in 30 seconds.
I used the instructions from E90post.com and spliced into the green/white wire in the first bank. Drilled a hole and installed a self tapping screw for the ground connection.
Ran the wires behind the mirror, over the headliner
I ordered a mount that locks onto the rear-view mirror, so as soon as that arrives I am going to hook it up under the mirror
Works like a charm

Thanks for looking

Very nice job and write-up. I also appreciated the clever use of your mattress to stop your e60 from hitting the refridgerator when you come home drunk...
Haha thanks,
I don't drink/drive though...

I hardwired my escort the same way and have it up to the right of the rear view mirror. Its a great spot but sucks when your passenger is oblivious and puts the visor all the way up. Ill try to get a pic tmrw.
