Bluetooth Card 2004 545i
#1
I'm a little confused, My dealer told me that my car is not compatible with the bluetooth hands free system, and my idrive menus don't show the phone bluetooth mode, but then I have this white card that has all the bluetooth information in my docs and it has a passcode. So does anyone have any comments on this. Do i have the bluetooth or not? Thanks in advance.

My January 2004 built 545 came with a similar card but had no BT functionality...
Your dealer is likely correct but depends on your build date.

Open the trunk and remove the panel on the driver side. You should see something like this (see photo). The smaller metal box is the TCU. If you see the BT symbol on the label, then you car should be wired for BT. All you need is a software upgrade.

My February 2004 built 545 came with the same garbage white bluetooth card that belongs in the trash. Just did my BT retrofit with TCU replaced. All works great now.

Glad to hear. How much did it cost in total?
