Should I get a new brother for the 550i?
I've liked the X3 for the 3 years but am thinking about getting something different. My X3 lease is up in 2 weeks. I really like the new Z4. I first drove the 3.0 to keep the payment down but now that they've made the lease rates more attractive, I test drove the 3.5 with the DCT. Now I know why folks like the 3.0 TT. Especially in the relatively light weight Z4, with the DCT, its got some kick, which was missing in the 3.0.

The Z4 is very nice indeed, I think it's a significant improvement over the last model. You should also look at the recently refreshed Boxster S with PDK (the new DFI engines and PDK are both astonishingly good) and as a wildcard also the new 370Z which has a unique rev-match feature on its manual transmission (as you downshift, it perfectly rev-matches without any need for heel and toe). The Boxter was tested in Car magazine in the UK against the Cayman S (with PDK), 370Z, Z4 sDrive35i and the SLK350 and came away as overall winner. Car & Driver also just placed the latest Boxster first in a comparison against the C6 Corvette, the new Audi TTS, and the Z4 sDrive35i. Word is that the Boxster S with PDK actually turned in 4.1 seconds on the 0-60 and a 1/4 mile of 12.6 @110.2 in the latest issue of Road and Track. I'd struggle to get close to that in my 911S...

$3k more and you can get a M3, not to mention the discounts. I just don't get the high msrp on the Z4.
