On the LCI it depends ... where are you located?
If it has frosted lens then its cornering light but if its clear (like projector similar on the outter) it's for nothin' ...

In that case it's not for anything ... it's just look like a lens... based on that you have LCI and seems to be not US market... if guess correctly.

I asked the same question 2 or 3 days ago. if you have the LCI car then the inner light is additional cornering lights when your using the blinker and at low speeds.

True if you have Adaptive Headlight option (which true for US market) but at some other market it does nothing ... other than the AE/halo ring light up ... the difference is the AHL has frosted cover while the non-AHL just simply look like projector lens.
