It?s just fixed with clips. Just clip it off but be careful with the wireing of the sensor.

Harry, not to be dense but what do you grab onto to pull it out? Just afraid of damaging something. Will it pull out by the sensor?
Thanks,
Bob

Fingernails in the corners. Screwdriver make scratches.

Edit: pulling the sensor won?t work realy. But you might get an open corner for a beginning. If you pull for the first time, the clips are clipsing hard

You also could remove the Monitor by 2 Torxx and remove the grill from below.

Give this a look and see if it gives you a better idea of what to do...

Thanks guys.
Rudy, your the man. I've downloaded tons of instructions (as provided by you) from various threads so I can figure out how I'm going to do the custom stereo thing.
Just had not seen this one and did not want to break any clips or scratch the grill edge. The grill is off. I have the special tool. Found it cleaning out a kitchen drawer a few years ago. Took my neighbor to tell me it was a cake server. So it went straight to the garage. That and the teeth picking/scraping tool the hygenist uses to clean your teeth are my 2 favorite stereo install tools.

But this leads to another question. I know Morel makes a good 4" driver that will pop in there. And the Scanspeak might. But does anyone know what is around the "cup" the speaker drops into? My thought is to cut out the cup and mount a small baffle from the top to mount a slightly larger speaker and/or slip in a small tweeter next to the mid.
Cheers!
Bob

PS Rudy, I see you all over this place. If I had to guess, BMW mechanic? Or engineer? Definitely MVP. Thanks again.
