Hi!
Today I upgraded front doors speakers. I removed the door trim and unpluged every connector which includes the airbags. Everything went smooth.
However, after reinstalling door trims, airbag fault message comes out.
Do you have any experience for this case?
Should I visit dealers to reset the airbag fault message?
Thank you in advance.

Doesn't the side airbag unit need to stay powered? Was the battery disconnected fully when you did the work?

The battery should have been disconnected before your started disconnecting the side air bags. Attachted below you'll find the steps of the speaker removal.

Just stand by, tcast305. With info like that available, you will be on demand. Too bad there is not something similar to hardwiring the V!. I've always been hesitant to dive into the bundle of wires as Casanova did. They look too neat and tidy to mess them up.

Now if we could just get Francois over here, you fellows would make an ideal combination. Thanks for both the great post and the benevolent offer.

JDN, Francois is here. He posts under something like "fmusbmw" (not sure of exact spelling).

Francois and tcast will be tremendous assets to this place!

Thanks guys!
