The new BMW 535d somehow manages to make the previous 535d, with a mere 391 pound-feet of torque, look like a slouch. Not only that, it does this with improved fuel economy and acceleration. This ?

Looks great! 440 ft/lb torque is excellent!....should easily overtake the 535i, E350 or A6 3.0T

My new 535d MSport is at the dealership, went to look at it last week . I know I'm biased, but it does look good in MSport trim.
Pick it up in 9 days time...not that I'm counting :-)

My Ride: My ex-ride: EU '08 LCI 520dA. Space Grey, Sport Seats in Black Leather/Fabric Anthracite, Sport Steering Wheel, A/C with Extended Features, Hi-Fi Speakers, Cup Holders, Cruise with Braking function, Folding Rear Seats, Xenons, Park Distance Control.

But over 800 miles with one tank of diesel will never happen,
not even with the 520dA.
But otherwise the new BMW 535d is a great and smart car.
Very low CO2's and a very, very powerful engine.
