So I recently picked up some bmw style 172 wheels, That I have installed on my 09 silver 535i touring. The rears have 275/30 currently, and the fronts have 245/35. which look good. The tire life is probably at like 65% so my question is can you put a 285 on a 9.5 wide wheel? Thoughts anyone?

Okay so I've been doing some extensive research and it seems that it's been split 50/50 between e61s that use a spacer in the rear vs. those who say they didn't need spacers with 172 style wheels. Apparently the 9.5 wide rear rubs. Does anyone have experience running the spacers or without the spacers with 9.5 wide wheels and a 275 30 19 tire?
