My 2006 550i just turned 100,000 miles this week. Purchased style 166 M6 offset 19" wheels back in 2009. They were bent and needed to be refinished, which I did, only to find they are still bent and car vibrates when I drive it. I also have new Pilot Sport tires put on at the same time. Took it back once, and then took it to another shop who said 3 of the four are still bent. Tired of fighting with them, so I think I am just going to get another set of wheels. I found a new set of the same wheel at ECS Tuning, that are $2,400+ some $700 more than I paid 10 years ago. The positive is that I know they will fit perfectly. On the other hand I am wondering if I could find an aftermarket wheel for less. Any thoughts? No black rims please.
Here's the part numbers of the staggered set I have.
Front Size 81/2JX19 ET:12-Wt=13,266-Pt no.36 11 7 834 625
Rear Size 91/2JX19 ET:17-Wt=13,266-Pt no.36 11 2 283 160

Style 166 wheels are very popular and you should be able to find used OEM replacements somewhere, although those with M5 offsets might be easier. How set are you on finding M6s? Depending on condition + shipping you'll still be looking at a hefty price.

I don't even care if they are replicas. I just remembered when I ordered by original wheels, Garry Romani of Aquidneck Autocenter (now out of business according to BB
, told me I needed to order the M6 offset. Do you have spacers with your replicas?
