RWD wheels on X Drive

Hi folks,
I know this subject has been beaten to death on the internet regarding BMW E60 X drive wheels vs RWD fitment.

I acquired some months ago a pre-LCI 530xi with full documentation from the first owner. It had the style 138 wheels from factory and the owner gave me an extra pair of tires (snow) that he would swap whenever the cold season was here.

Fast forward to now, I look up classified ads for X drive wheels with ET43 because this is what is supposed to be on the car now and catch a nice deal for them.

To my surprise, upon removing my wheels on the car, I noticed that they are ET20 wheels:bash:...which I thought wouldn't fit properly on X drive cars. Here is a shot of how the wheels look like on the car...
I liked the current stance of the car, it had some sort of wide-track look. I fear by putting the winter ET43 wheels, that the wheels will be more towards the inside of the vehicle. Is there something wrong ?
Thanks for your input guys

PS, there's a difference between the original (new with car) ET20 wheels that are made in Italy and the ET43 i just purchased which are made by Ronal in Poland.

I wonder if it's working since its a 17x7.5. Aren't the factory wheels 8" wide, rather than 7.5?

That's why it's OK on the 17" as the width for factory 17" is -> 7.5" ... while the 18" is -> 8".

This is the pic of RWD OEM Style 124 18"x8" (front side) wheel on xi/AWD model (notice it protrudes more than the OP front side but the rear looks good 'cuz if different offset even w/ wider 9"):

Now this is the M5 (RWD obviously) OEM Style M166 19"x8.5" and 19"x9.5" rear on xi/AWD model ... I'm pretty sure those are M5 rear offset so imagine how M6 rear offset look as it w/ even smaller offset:
