Default E60 Wheels and Tires

I own a 2007 530i base model. I recently purchased a set of BMW OEM 19" wheels and tires on CL and attempted to install them on my car only to find out that the offset is way different. The new wheels have a front offset of 33 and a rear offset of 44. Is there anyway to make these work on my car. My stock wheels have a 20 offset. If not I have a nice set of 19" staggered set BMW wheels and new run flat tires to get rid of.

You can make them work but you'll need to run larger spacers than most conservative ppl would want. I see no issues with it as long as you purchase a quality set of spacers. You bought a set of XI (all wheel drive wheels) and that explains your high offset. You want to get the offset down to 18-20 for the correct/ flush look so your 44's must be paired with a 25 and your 33's a 15mm spacer. Both sets will probably run you 200-250 bucks brand new. Contact a reputable vendor here and they'll take care of you.

Default Larger than most conservative people

Hey devildawg712, when you say "larger than most conservative people" is there any harm in running larger spacers? Is it going to make my car look stupid? Im not having any luck selling them so it may be worth the extra money to be able to use them but I don't want to mess the suspension running the larger than normal spacers.

Thanks for the info as well.

It will definitely not look stupid as no one will be able to even notice you are running spacers unless they look at your hub behind your wheel. If you're not getting anybody to buy them I say spend the 200 or so bucks and slap on the spacers. When I said "larger" it's just because most folks feel that no spacer at all is the ideal situation as you have less or no foreign parts added to your car's moving components that can affect the ride quality. As long as you get a quality set of spacers I see no issues with running a 25 in the rear and a 15 in the front. Michael at Acute performances or Trinity Autosport can hook it up. Matter of fact, I'm running close to that setup right now because I recently had some very large wheels on my car that required pulling and rolling my fenders and now I have a setup that is much smaller. Check out the two links under my signature. The first one has no spacers as it was the "ideal" and the second does. GL

the picture below has me on 20mm spacers in the rear and 10 in the front.

Thanks again for the info on the spacers devildawg712. I ordered Eibach spacers and installed them this morning. Here is what she looks like before and after.

Love the new wheels! Big Improvement.

I've got 15mm spacers in the rear on my car, and can't feel a difference before/after. There is no downside as long as you have the correct longer wheel bolts (which all the kits come with anyway).

I can't entirely agree with LessIsMore that there is NO downside to big spacers. The impact is greatly reduced if (1) the spacers bring the setup close to the factory offset, which for Soulster's car is ET15-32, and (2) the spacers are hubcentric. However, spacers create unsupported space, even if they are hubcentric: the hubcentric ridge is a locator, not a loadbearing feature. With 25mm spacers, your wheels are at the fat end of the lug and the point of attachment to the hub is an unsupported inch away. That's a lot of flex room and it would concern me. Call me conservative, I guess!

Hope you will consider checking the lug torque frequently.

Could you pass me the style number/part number from the wheels? I wanted 19s for my X drive but I hadn't been able to find a nice set!! I really like these.
