Default An 80,000 mile tire

Costco is having a sale on Michelin tires that will go 80,000 miles (and warranted for 80,000 miles).

What are the disadvantages of riding on a 80,000 mile tire?

I hear to get that many miles, the tire has a thicker tread. I myself don't like a truck-tire like tread though.

You don't like the truck tire tread because:

- the vehicle appears to be higher off the ground (due to the tread)?

- the vehicle is more noisy (you can hear the tread)?

- the vehicle has a stiffer ride (and is uncomfortable)?

maybe something else... ?

I hear they are noisy and stiffer ride. I don't like how they look.
