Hey guys,

It's that time of year.. Summer.. FINALLY!!
I need new summer tires for my 5er. I currently have 4 Falken n452's on my 19's (245/35/19) but 2 tires are worn out. I was happy for price vs performance with the falkens. Unsure what to do..

Option 1: should I buy 2 more Falken tires for $220 locally? But the downfall with that means I'll still be using falkens.

Option 2: continental tires from tire rack $240/ tire.

Option :3: hankook V12's $171/tire from tire rack

Option 4: Friends tire shop has a sale on Toyo t1r $220/tire (but from reviews, I hear they are very similar to Falkens)

Option 5: you recommend me something else. My options are open. My only concern is $$, I don't want to spend $580/tire on Pirelli P Zero Corsa's. Roughly $250/tire is good

I think I'm leaning towards the hankook V12 as they seem like not only a favorite on the site, but have read lots of good reviews for 'bang for buck'.
Thanks in advance!

I've got the Conti DW on my rear axle, roughly 1k miles, pretty happy with them. silent. a little less grippy than the PS2s they replaced.

Ya that's another concern of mine. Definitely don't want a loud tire. Falkens are not bad at all. Any review on hankooks noise?
My mechanic told me to get the continentals, but all reviews I read pretty much say "save the $70/tire ($280 total) you would spend on continentals, buy hankooks, and use the extra $$$ for something else". Who concours?

I just put the V12's on my 545 and couldn't be happier. Comming from the Goodyear F1's I had on the car when I purchased it, the Hankook's are nice. Quiet, responsive for my needs, but a step down from the Goodyear's in grip. I tried to get the Conti DWS, but the backorder forced me to go with the Hankook's. Hankook's soak up quite a bit of inperfections in the road especially here in northern ohio. The pot holes are terrible this year.... I've got about 1K miles on them so far.

Most members love hankooks, me included. Quiet, grippy, soft feel - almost a must for 20 in wheels, and lastly value. This went toe-to-toe in Car and Driver test with PS2 as benchmark.

Conit DW however beat out HK's in TIrerack's survey, cost more but has longer treadwear. Look who comes in at No 9
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/survey...ay.jsp?type=MP

The DWS, however if you dont mind ultra perforamance all season, has even higher treadwear than DW.
