Default 305 Tires on 2004 530i Sport?

Hello everyone!
I'm brand new to this forum. I just bought a 2004 530i with the sport package and I'm loving it. I'd like to buy some new or used wheels for the car and use wider tires simply for the looks. I'd LOVE to throw some 19" wheels with 305/30's on the rear and 255/35's on the front. Is anyone running this set-up? Are there any rubbing problems? If not, what are the offsets for the wheels?

Thanks all!

I saw the exact same setup on an M5. Though those fenders are flared a bit more.. And the rear fenders had to be rolled.. but they were sitting on 21s.

So def sounds doable.. Im sure someone smarter will chime in lol

Hello Randmaster,
I think that really depends on what type of wheel you got on. I think that 305/30 is extreme.... to big, I am running 285/30/20 on rear and 245/35/20 on front on a Miami concave set.
Best bet will be to try it out before.

Good look to you and the new bim.

isaMIA, what do you think about your set up... does it ride different using 285-20's? Are you concerned about pot-holes with 20's?
20's look WAY better IMO but I'm afraid of the sacrifices I'd need to make.

Yep... 245/35/20 in front 9"
285/30/20 in rear 10.5"

There was a bit of rubbing in rear, but had the fenders rolled just a bit, and all is fine now.

Car is also lowered about 1.5".

Sweet! What offset are you using with those wheels? How is the ride with the 20's?

I don't know the offest lol
I went to a place in RI that customizes cars and I let them do it for me cuase they guerentee the fitment and all that.

It actually rides pretty well.. After putting HR springs with stock shocks and then going to 20s I wa a bit worried.. but I actually like the ride quite a bit

However I do cruise control at the speed limit on the high way for the most part. I don't drive a BMW like I'm supposed to I guess. lol
